One of the major attractions in Jaipur, the Birla Planetarium is an educational, scientific, and research institution. Since its inception, the Planetarium has been deciphering different facets of astronomy for the general public. It is an excellent institute for understanding the lesser-known world of stars and galaxies.  The key highlight of this place is the regular sky shows that discuss astronomy concepts. Apart from the dome, the complex also houses an astronomical observatory with a powerful Celestron C-14 telescope.

Architecture of Birla Planetarium

The Planetarium displays Rajasthan’s beautiful architecture with a blend of traditional and modern design art. It is decorated with white marble, giving it an attractive appearance. It has a hemispherical structure, and the dome ceiling is decorated with hand-painted crafts.

Birla Planetarium Show Timings

Visitors can attend the shows at 1 pm, 3 pm, and 5 pm. All planetarium shows are in Hindi. Due to the monthly maintenance, no-shows are screened on the last Wednesday of every month.
