Samode Haveli

Samode Haveli in Rajasthan India was built nearly 150 years ago. It is a grand and palatial house which was built by Rawal Sheo Singhji. He was previously the prime minister of the Jaipur court. He belonged to the Samode family. The Samode family had a relation with the royal members of Jaipur. In fact the 17th prince belonging to Kacchawala also had relation with Rawal Sheo Singhji.

Samode Haveli is one of the famous tourist destinations in the region. Apart from various other havelis which was built during that era. The Samode Haveli was built in 1988, which is a famous tourist attraction. Even though it is an ancient mansion, most of it is now converted in to a heritage hotel.

A visit to Samode will reflect about the royal past. It also shows the kind of luxurious life style which was led by the members of the royal family. The haveli was built facing the north. It was done so in order to protect it from the blaring sun. The haveli has beautifully painted dining rooms, huge rooms and airy verandah. Separate elephant ramp has been built during 1940, as an entrance for elephants.
