History of Jawahar Kala Kendra

The construction of Jaipur’s cultural centre began in 1986 and was completed in 1992. Jawahar Kala Kendra is an initiative of the State Government to promote Rajasthani culture. Since its establishment, it has hosted various events, including musical and dance shows, theatre workshops, performances, concerts, festival celebrations, cinema shows, and national and international art and crafts exhibitions.

Architecture

Jawahar Kala Kendra is divided into seven sections. The first is the House of Museums, which houses ethnic pieces of art reflecting the folk culture of Rajasthan.
