Between 1620 and 1628, Maharana Karan Singh built the Karni Mata Temple in Udaipur while developing Machla Magra’s residential areas. Until 1997, the temple was not very popular, and few people visited it. The Mansapurna Karni Mata Development Committee began redeveloping the temple premises in 1997.
