Jaipur Wax Museum is the first museum in the world to be established at a heritage site. It is gaining popularity as the first international standard Jaipur museums.

The Wax Museum in Jaipur features 32 wax exhibits, including a lifelike statue of the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Located within Nahargarh Fort, the museum is divided into two themed sections called Shastra Agaar and Vishraamghar. Upon entering the museum, you’ll be greeted by a 10-foot-long bullet named Gati Gamini. Other notable statues include those of Mahatma Gandhi, Maharani Gayatri Devi, Rabindranath Tagore, and Albert Einstein.

The Jaipur Wax Museum is located inside Nahargarh Fort and offers a unique experience to its visitors. An impressive structure such as the Tadigate, which serves as the museum’s grand entrance, was built using Indo-European and Western architecture.

Wax Museum Attractions

Hall of Icons: When you enter the wax museum, you will reach the ‘Hall of Icons’, where visitors can see statues of famous national and international personalities. These include celebrities, film stars, national heroes, and sports stars. A detailed background accompanies each display.

Hall is For Kids: This hall has a separate section for popular kids’ characters like Nobita and Doraemon, Ironman, Spiderman, etc. Visiting this museum is surely a memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

Vishram Ghar: On the ground floor, visit the Vishram Ghar, also known as the warrior’s rest area. It has been transformed into a beautiful 18th-century royal courtroom, displaying traditional costumes, artefacts, paintings, a royal carriage, antiques, and interactive exhibits.

On the top floor, there is another Vishramghar known as Sheesh Mahal. It showcases centuries-old thikri mirror work, which is truly remarkable. Around 100 craftsmen used over 2.5 million glass pieces to create this intricate mirror art piece.

Royal Darbar: Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to explore the Royal Darbar. This darbar showcases the remarkable evolution of valuable heirlooms and treasures over the centuries. Don’t forget to take a photo in a royal setting while wearing a complete Maharaja costume.

You can also check the beautiful chandeliers with real gem and gold work in the museum. Additionally, there’s a souvenir shop where you can purchase memorable gifts. The museum opened to the public on December 17, 2016.
