One of the most famous temples of Pushkar, Old Rangji Temple, reflects a mesh of Mughal and Rajput architecture. The high-rising Gopuram also reflects South Indian architecture and adds more charm to the whole temple. This 150-year-old Hindu Temple is dedicated to Lord Rangji, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal of Hyderabad commissioned the temple in 1823. Along with Lord Rangji’s idol, Lord Krishna, Goddamaji, Shri Ramanujacharya, and Goddess Lakshmi are installed inside the temple complex.

The temple was built in 1823 by Seth Puran Mal Ganeriwal and is dedicated to Vaikuntha Venkatesh, the incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Several people have done construction and repair work from that time to give that a proper establishment. However, the basic structure is still the same and intact.

Architecture of Rangji Temple

The architecture of the New Rangji Temple reflects a blend of Rajputana, South Indian, and Mughal styles. This temple has a massive entrance gate with beautiful carvings and sculptures resembling South Indian architecture. Inside the temple, several temples are dedicated to other gods and goddesses, including Krishan and Laxmi.
