One of the most important tourist attractions of Sanchi is the Ashoka Pillar. It is located near the southern gateway of the famous Sanchi Stupa. The Ashoka Pillar lies in Sanchi in Madhya Pradesh. Sanchi is at a distance of 46 km from Bhopal. After reaching Bhopal, you can easily reach Sanchi using the motorable road by availing of any of these three options. Even though Sanchi is a railway station of the Jhansi Itarsi section of the Central railways, Vidisha, located about 10 km from Sanchi, is and is well connected to the important towns and cities of India by rail.
