Hills in Pithoragarh – You can visit majestic peaks like Nanda Devi East, Nanda Devi West, Trishul, Hardeol, Nandakhat, Rajrambha, Bambadhura, and the Panchachuli Hills while on tour to Pithoragarh.
Glaciers of Pithoragarh – Pithoragarh is home to some magnificent glaciers like the Milam, Namik, Ralam, Meola, and Balati glaciers. Best Time to Visit Pithoragarh
April to November is the best time to plan your Pithoragarh trip. During summers, the weather remains pleasant, and winters are chilly. July to August is the monsoon season, and we do not recommend visiting during this time. Make sure to carry light woolens in summer and heavy ones in winter.

One of the largest towns, Pithoragarh has many restaurants and roadside dhabas serving lip-smacking North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, and continental food. If you want to try authentic Kumaoni dishes, Gahat Dal, Sisunak Saag, Kappa, and Chainsoo are some recommendations. For dessert, try Bal Mithai and Singauri.
How to Reach Pithoragarh
Pithoragarh has a small hill airstrip at Naini Saini – about 5 km from the town. The nearest railheads are at Kathgodam and Tanakpur, from where Pithoragarh can be easily reached by buses and taxis.
