Apart from being an agricultural and industrial hub, Kanpur has attained a special position among the Tourist Destinations in Uttar Pradesh. Sightseeing in Kanpur is not hectic at all since all the Tourist Attractions in Kanpur are closely located.

The Kanpur Memorial Church was constructed in the year 1875. The construction of the Church is based on Lombardy Gothic. Built of red bricks, the All Soul’s Cathedral (as ‘Kanpur Memorial Church’ is also known) also showcases a magnificent figure of an angel sculpted by Baron Carlo Marochetti, which symbolizes ‘peace’.

The Jajmau, the name for a mound located alongside the Ganga to the east of Kanpur is of great historic significance. Several antique items of the period from 600 to 1600 A.D. were dug out during the excavations carried out in 1957-58. Historians have concluded that the items are representatives of the kingdom of Yayati.

Thetemples of Siddhnath and Siddha Devi are also located in Jajmau, which is also referred to as Siddhapuri. Apart from these, Jajmau also houses the mausoleum of Makhdum Shah Ala-ul-Haq, who was a renowned Sufi saint. It was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1358. A mosque, built in 1679 by Kulich Khan is also located here

The Jain Glass Temple is a striking temple that is aesthetically adorned with glass and enamel works. It is located in Maheshwari Mohal at the back of the Kamla Tower.

Shri Radhakrishna Temple is another artistically designed temple that displays a combination of ancient and modern architecture. The most striking aspect of the temple is the sufficient sunlight and ventilation facility ensured by the presence of leveled roofs. The central shrine of the temple is dedicated to the idols of Shri Radhakrishna while the others to Shri Laxminarayan, Shri Ardhanarishwar, Shri Narmadeshwar and Shri Hanuman.

Kamla Retreat is a museum situated in Kamala Nehru Road, which showcases a rich assortment of artifacts.

Allen Forest Zoo is one of the popular Zoological Gardens and of India. This zoo, inaugurated in 1971, provides amusements for one and all. Besides the animals, the provision of holding picnics has enhanced the charm of the place.

Green Park in Kanpur is a famous Cricket Stadium, which over the years, has held numerous International Cricket matches.

Nana Rao Park is the biggest park in Kanpur, situated on the Mall Road, in the heart of Kanpur. Previously called Memorial Well Garden, the park displays a plant nursery that is beautifully laid out.

The Phool Bagh or the Ganesh Udyan is located on Mall Road. The picturesque park also houses a place for public meetings by the name of Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Memorial, a Public Library, and a Summer House. A flower exhibition, held annually further heightens the popularity of the park.

Brijendra Swarup Park, sited in Arya Nagar, park consists of sprawling lawns and play grounds.

Moti Jheel holds a reservoir for drinking water under the Kanpur Waterworks. Situated in Benajhabar, the lake has been beautified with gardens and children’s parks.
