Organized every year, Lucknow Mahotsav is a 10-day festival filled with colorful performances, sumptuous food, several exciting competitions, and entertainment. The theme of this year is Shaan-E-Awadh-Jashn-E-Lucknow. This event is a celebration of the city’s rich culture and a display of the traditional plays, Sitar and Sarangi recitals, Thumri, ghazal, and Qawali nights, lively processions, and Kathak dance performances from artists of Lucknow Gharana. There are also performances by Celebrities, famous artists and old classical singers. If you are interested in poetry, you can attend Kavi Sammelan and Mushayara and enjoy the performances of national and local poets and shayars.

Exciting events like cock fighting, Youth Festival and Drama Competition, ekka races, kite flying, vintage car rally, boat race and other similar village games are a part of Lucknow Mahotsav 2023 and create an atmosphere of the days of the Nawabs. One can also have a look at the traditional crafts of Lucknow. Do not miss savoring the lip-smacking delicacies of Nawabi cuisine. The Mahotsav is a delight for food connoisseurs and offers a vast variety of tasty dishes from several cuisines, including Kebabs, Paranthas, Non-vegetarian delicacies, and Kesaria Doodh.

Lucknow Mahotsav 2024 is jointly organized by UP Tourism and Lucknow District Administration. This is also a platform and a chance for showcasing the talent of the state’s craftsmen (special stalls) and local performers of the state. Promotion of Lucknow Tourism is another motive of this festival and is flocked by both national and international tourists.
