Jaswant Garh in Tawang is one of the finest tourist places with a breathtaking location. This Garh is situated at an altitude of 3050 m and just about 25 km from the Tawang into the Nuranang district.
It is a war memorial and a burial place for many Indian soldiers. This place was built to honor the Indian rifleman from Garhwal for his bravery, Jaswant Rawat. He was one of the members of the 4 Garhwal Rifles troops who fought against the Chinese army. Today, this place is crowded with people from around the country throughout the year.
This is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Tawang, also known as the Jaswantgarh War Memorial. If you are not traveling in your vehicle, you can take a taxi or shared cab to reach Jaswant Garh. In addition, several public conveyances are commuting to and fro this place.
Apart from the Jaswant Garh, people visit the Nuranang Falls, which is also located nearby. The ideal time to visit is between Feb and October because winters here can be chilly.
