Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Guwahati – Tezpur (approx. 185 km/ 4 hr)

Welcome to your Northeast India tour!

After arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station, the Indian Holiday representative will transfer you to Tezpur. Enjoy the beautiful views en route. Once reached, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and unwind.

Later, visit the ruins of Agnigarh. Legend says Banasura built this fort to lock away his daughter Usha. The fort was surrounded by fire at all times so that no one could go in and out without permission. Afterward, come back to the hotel and spend a comfortable night.

Day 2: Tezpur – Dirang (approx. 193 km/ 5 hr)

Wake up early and have breakfast. Check out and get transferred from Tezpur to Dirang. En route, stop at Tippi Village, located in the West Kameng district of Arunachal on River Kameng. Witness the lovely orchids like Dainty Lady’s Slipper and Dendrobium.

Continue the drive to Dirang. Once reached, check in to the hotel and rest. Explore the regional Apple Nursery, kiwi farm, fort, and hot water spring post-lunch. Return to the hotel and enjoy a restful sleep.

Day 3: Dirang – Tawang (approx. 134 km/ 4 hr)

On day 3 of the Tawang tour, savor a delicious meal and check out from the hotel. Set off to your next destination, Tawang. On the way, stop at the war cemetery. Pay your respects, and then continue your drive till Sela Pass. It is known for its pristine Sela Lake and spectacular views. Once you reach Tawang, check in to the hotel and slide under the sheets for a relaxing sleep.

Day 4: Tawang

Post breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Tawang. This tour will cover all the famous attractions in Tawang, like Tawang Monastery. This 400-year-old monastery in Arunachal Pradesh is one of India’s biggest Buddhist monasteries to be found.

Other places you will visit are Namgye Lhatse, PT Tso, Gorsam Chorten, Singar Ani Gompa, and Gontse Garden. As the sun sets, get back to the hotel for a restful sleep.

Day 5: Tawang – Bomdila (approx. 177 km/ 5 hr)

After breakfast, check out. Today, make your way to Bomdila. Enjoy the stunning views en route. Once reached, complete the check-in formalities and rest for a while. Then, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Bomdila. Visit Gontse Rabgyaling Monastery (Upper Gompa) and Thubchog Gatsel Ling Monastery (Lower Gompa).

Also, visit Bomdila View Point to catch the panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks. End the tour with a visit to the local market for shopping. Finally, come back to the hotel for a comfy overnight sleep.

Day 6: Bomdila – Guwahati (approx. 260 km/ 7 hr)

Savor a fulfilling breakfast at the hotel and check out. Then, start your drive from Bomdila to Guwahati and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way. Once reached, complete the check-in formalities at the hotel and unwind. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Post dinner, have a relaxing sleep.

Day 7: Departure from Guwahati

This is the last day of your Tawang tour package. Have a leisurely breakfast and check out. Visit Kamakhya Temple, one of the major pilgrimage spots in Guwahati. Seek blessings from the goddess Kamakhya and then leave for the airport/railway station. Go back home with pleasant memories of Tawang that you will cherish for a lifetime.

To procure ILP permit we require Address Proof, Identity proof issued by Govt. of India (Not accepted doc is PAN card), child birth certificate or School Identity card and 03 copies of Passport size photographs of every person. It takes 03-04 official days to process the permit; All photocopy documents need to self attested.
