Karimnagar Travel Guide

The district of Karimnagar is located in the state of Telangana in southern India. Karimnagar is situated at a distance of 165 kilometers from Hyderabad, the capital city of Telangana. Karimnagar got its name from Syed Karimuddin, who was a Quiladar. Karimnagar is famous for Vedic teachings, which started right from the ancient times. Among its many beautiful natural resources, River Godavari is one. Shivaram Wildlife Sanctuary is located at a distance of 80 kilometers from Karimnagar and it conserves marsh crocodiles of Godavari, black bucks, panthers, sloth bears, python, cheetal and langoor.

Tourist Attractions:

Rajarajeshwara Temple is dedicated to Lord Rajarajeshwara Swami. The temple is located at Vemulawada, at a distance of 38 kilometers from Karimnagar.

Kameshwaram is a picture-perfect locale on the confluence of River Godavari and River Pranahitha. Encircled by thick forests, the spot is located 130 kilometers from Karimnagar.

Manthani is an extremely ancient center for Vedic teachings. It is located on the banks of River Godavari, and at a distance of 70 kilometers from Karimnagar.
