The major airports of Punjab are located in the cities of Amritsar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The airport in Amritsar is an international airport while the two other airports in Ludhiana and Chandigarh are domestic airports. The major railway stations in Punjab are Ludhiana, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Jalandhar. These railway stations operate trains to all the major states of India.
By Road
Punjab enjoys an extensive road network which enjoys connectivity to all the major cities and states of the country. National Highway 1 (NH 1), also known as the Grand Trunk Road, connects it to most of North and East India.
