The oldest building of the Mubarak Mandi Palace Complex dates back to 1824. However, the construction of all the buildings was rounded up about 150 years ago. The setting is also quite admirable. The palace commands excellent views of the Tawi River and Jammu. city. Presently housing government offices and courts, the halls and galleries of the Mubarak Mandi Palace were once the venues of official functions hosted by Dogra rulers. However, the greatest attraction of the Mubarak Mandi Palace remains the Pink Hall. It houses the Dogra Art Gallery. The gallery’s fantastic collection of sculptures and paintings will surely leave any visitor startled.

The Architecture of Mubarak Mandi Palace

One is sure to be impressed by the architectural skills that have been displayed by the artisans while constructing the buildings. They are marveled at as a unique blend of Rajasthani, Mughal, and Baroque European styles. Particularly striking is the Sheesh Mahal. Sections of Mubarak Mandi Palace

Sheesh Mahal: This place has been built entirely with glass and reflects incredible art.

Pink Hall: This section of Mubarak Mandi Palace offers numerous artworks and paintings that will blow your mind. Gold plated bow and arrow are the major highlight of this section.

Gol Ghar: This section is also a fascinating part of this palace. Unfortunately, it was damaged by the earthquake in 1980. however, it still attracts tourists.

Timing of Mubarak Mandi Palace

The Mubarak Mandi Palace is open to visitors from half past ten in the morning to half-past four in the evening during the Winter Season. In the Summer Season, it is available from 8’o clock in the morning to half-past one in the afternoon. Any visitor will surely enjoy a visit to this palace not only for the museum’s rich collection but also because it gives them a chance to witness the remarkable blend of different architectural features that are so magnificently manifested in the buildings.
