Among birds, the island is inhabited by around 46 species of birds namely, drongos, scarlet Minivet, hanging parrot, long-tailed and red-breasted parakeets, emerald dove, white-bellied sea eagles and grey-fronted and green pigeons to name a few. It is a one of most beautiful bird-watching sites in India.
