Kerala is home to unique sanctuaries and famous national parks in India. A popular among them is Kabini wildlife sanctuary. The climate of the place is perfect for wildlife safari almost throughout the year. The Kabini Forests remain mostly warm and temperate. Throughout the year, the Sun shines brightly in Kabini, and probably that’s the reason why Kabini experiences a warm climate. Though Kabini Wildlife Sanctuary can be visited throughout the year, the best time to visit is between September and May. Its balmy weather around the year makes it an all-time favorite destination among tourists.

Kabini during summer:

From March to June, the climate in the Kabini Forests of Karnataka is warm and hot. During the summers, the climate is quite hot, and the mercury rises to 35 degrees Celsius. The months have scorching heat. Because of the same, sightings peak during these months as Tigers seek out water holes to beat the heat.

Kabini during winter:

The winters are very short in this area, and the temperature falls to a comfortable 13 degrees Celsius. During the winter months of December to February, the temperature touches a maximum of 26 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 60 degrees Celsius. If you are keen on sighting unique fauna, including the big cats, then these winter months are considered the best time to visit Kabini.

Kabini during monsoon:

On average, Kabini receives 1,000 mm to 1,500 mm of rainfall. Therefore, it is not advised to visit the sanctuary during the monsoons. The rainy season starts from July to September, and the rainfall is very erratic in this region. The monsoon season is not the best climate in Kabini, and tourists are generally advised not to visit during the monsoons because the rainfall is very high in this region. Monsoons are quite heavy in Kabini and make the region extremely humid. However, Kabini turns lush green during the monsoon due to the rains, which is also a sight to watch in itself.
