History of Happy Valley Tea Estate

This beautiful estate of Darjeeling was established in 1854 by David Wilson. Hence, it is far and wide known as Wilson Tea Estate. Later, it was bought by T P Banerjee, a wealthy Bengali Man at the turn of the century. After some years, Banerjee bought the bordering Windsor estate and combined these two properties to create this Happy Valley Tea Estate.

Opening Hours for Happy Tea Estate: The tea production process at this tea estate is open for visitors between Tuesday and Saturday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. However, March to November is considered the best time to visit Happy Tea Estate as the factory is closed for the year’s remaining months.
