Vishwa Shanti Stupa
One of the 8 Shanti Stupas built at different places in India, Vishwa Shanti Stupa is a place of worship for the Buddhist community. It is believed that Fuji Guruji came to Wardha from Japan in 1935 and met Mahatma Gandhi, who gave him permission to build stupas in India. The architecture of this Stupa describes the history of Lord Buddha.
Gandhiji Ashram Bapu Kuti
Renowned as Sevagram, Gandhiji Ashram Bapu Kuti is the place where Mahatma Gandhi believed to have proceeded with Quit India Movement after 1934. On the request of Late Jamnalal Bajaj, Gandhiji decided to built the Shegaon village for his ashram. The ashram has several articles that were used by Gandhiji when he stayed at the site.
Bor Dam
Located in the village of Bori, Bor Dam houses a reserve forest and a beautiful dam within its premises. It has a total area of around 61.1 square kilometers. The forest is home to a wide variety of animals such as Nilgai, Deer, Peacock, Bear, Wild Pig and Wild Cats. The dam is famous for its architectural work including statues of Buddha with different expressions.
Magan Sangrahalaya Museum
Developed by Dr. J.C. Kumarappa and Aaryanayakam, experts of the Gandhian Economic System, The Magan Sangrahalaya Museum was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi on 30th December, 1938. The museum was built with the purpose of spreading awareness about research and development of rural industries, agriculture, dairy and other methods of promoting Swadeshi movement etc.
Gitai Mandir
Situated in Gopuri near Vishwa Shanti Stupa, Gitai Mandir is a unique temple which has just walls made up of granite slabs. The 18 chapters of Bhagwad Gita are inscribed on these slabs. There is a beautiful park enclosed within these walls. It was inaugurated by Shri Vinoba Bhave in 1980.
