Krishna Temple
In regard to this temple, the legends say that an ardent worshipper and believer of Lord Krishna, Kanakadasa was not allowed to enter the temple premises. Pleased with his devotion, Lord turned the statue of Krishna, allowing his disciple to see the heavenly form of the Lord through a little window at the Matha’s back. The window is a special attraction of the temple and is popular as the ‘Kanakana Kindi’.
Malpe Beach
Situated at a distance of 6 km from Udupi, Malpe Beach is one of the must visit attractions for visitors. The widespread gold sand, palm trees, azure water and clear blue sky, make it a great place to enjoy picnics. The tranquility also makes it an ideal place for couples to enjoy quality time with each other.
Chandramoulishwar Temple
According to the legend, Daksha Prajapati once cursed the moon. Thus, to get rid of the curse, the moon performed self-mortification. Pleased with his devotion, the Lord sets the Moon free from the curse. Therefore, the place became popular as Chandramoulishwar, which means Lord Shiva.
