Coringa Sanctuary
Located close to Kakinada City; Coringa Sanctuary, spanned across an area of 235 square kilometers, houses 35 varieties of mangrove forests in the sanctuary. It is home to a wide variety of wild animals which include fishing cats, estuarine crocodiles, otter and the endangered olive ridley sea turtle. Apart from these wild animals, the sanctuary houses a large variety of birds such as oriental dwarf kingfisher, white-bellied woodpecker, Indian roller, crested serpent eagle and Scarlet Minivet flamingoes.
Bhimesvara Temple
Located in Samalkota near Kakinada, The Bhimesvara Temple has a rectangular shape and features the main idol of Lord Shiva in the middle. There is a massive pillar is situated on the western side of the temple and is known as ‘Kappa Stambham’. The architectural style of the temple resembles the Bhimesvara Temple in Draksharamam.
Shri Bhavanarayana Swamy Temple
Located in Sarpavaram nearby Kakinada, Shri Bhavanarayana Swamy Temple is dedicated to Lord Bhavanarayana, which is another name of Lord Vishnu. It is believed that mythological sages like Agastya and Vyasa had visited this place.
