Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

Also known as Visveshvara Mahadev, Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is an exquisite temple famous for its stone carvings, flat Shikaras and sculptures. It is located 4 kilometers away from the Bhuntar airport. The temple is believed to have been built in the 8th century and is the biggest of all stone temples in Kullu.

Jagannath Temple

Located 3 kilometers away from Bhuntar on a hill, Jagannath Temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. Tourists can reach the temple via trekking and can have a view of the Kullu town from the hill.

 

Bijili Mahadev Temple

Located at an altitude of 2,000 meter on Mathan Hill, close to Bhuntar, Bijili Mahadev Temple is built in Kash Style and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is said that Shivling splits into pieces whenever there is a flash of light. It is believed that praying at this temple brings rain, which in-turn makes land favorable for cultivation.

Adi Brahma Temple

Situated in the Khokhan Village, at a distance of 4 kilometers from Bhuntar, Adi Brahma Temple is a large wooden temple, which has the statue of Lord Brahma placed in the middle. One can see an Ashtadhatu, eleven silver and two brass mohras placed in the chariot in the temple.

Triyug Narayan Temple

Located in the village named Dyar, at a distance of 12 kilometers from Bhuntar, Triyug Narayan Temple, built in Pagoda style in 800 A.D., is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple exhibits the architectural style related to temples of Buddha and features a few small metal idols of Buddha.
