The city of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh is one of the most important pilgrim points for Hindus. Located 90 miles from Delhi in Mathura district it earns much of its claim to fame from being the domain of Lord Krishna. It has been estimated that there are above five thousand temples in Vrindavan. He is said to have woed Radha here in playful gestures. Mathura lies 15 kilometers from Vrindavan. The city of Vrindavan is located on the banks of Yamuna River. During Janmashtami, Radhasthami and Holi the city is seen at its best with people decorating the temples with garlands and exchanging sweets. Many of the Vaishavites also resides in this city. The city is replete with sprawling Ghats and picturesque gardens that makes for good Tourist Attractions in Vrindavan. This garden also consists of a small temple which is dedicated to Radha and Krishna. In Nidhuban Krishna is said to have rested with Radha after a tiring day of merrymaking. There is a shrine in the premises which houses a bed. This is decorated every morning by the temple priest in reverence to the lover. An interesting story that goes around in Vrindavan is that no one is allowed in the premises of this garden after dark as Krishna is said to frequent this spot along with Radha.
