Statue of Unity Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Mumbai – Surat
Your 4 days short escape tour of the Statue of Unity and Narmada Tent City starts with your arrival in Mumbai. On arrival, our tour representative will meet you at the Mumbai Airport or railway station for the onward journey. Board the vehicle and proceed towards Surat. En route, you will take a halt at Udvada, which is a Parsi Town.
This coastal town houses the popular temple of Zoroastrians namely Atash Behram. Built in the 8th century, Atash Behram has a holy fire that has been burning for over a millennium. However, the temple is open for the Zoroastrian community only. You can savor the lip-smacking Parsi cuisines here.
Later, visit the National Salt Satyagraha Memorial at Dandi Beach. This memorial was built to honor the activists and participants of Salt Satyagraha. Mahatma Gandhi along with 80 Satyagrahis marched from Ahmedabad to the coastal village of Dandi, which is located at 241 miles away.
They embark on this journey to break the salt law imposed by Britishers. Spread over 15 acres of land, Salt Satyagraha Memorial houses several structures which depict the glory of the Salt Satyagraha.
Day 2: Surat – Narmada Tent Cityd
On the 2nd day of the tour, you will proceed to Narmada Tent City after having a delicious breakfast. Check out from the hotel and hit the road to reach Narmada Tent City. On arrival, you will have an assisted transfer to the pre-booked resort. Complete the check in formalities and unwind.
Relax for a while and head towards Sardar Sarovar Dam, which is built on the Narmada River. It is the second-largest concrete dam in the world in terms of volume. Enjoy boating in the Narmada River and also spend some time amidst the serene surroundings.
In the evening, visit to attend a laser show at the Statue of Unity, which illuminates the structure. The show depicts the journey of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and his role in creating India as a nation from 562 princely states. The show is an amazing blend of beautiful laser lights, sound, graphics, and storytelling. Enjoy the cultural show and entertainment at Tent City.
Day 3: Narmada Tent City – Kevadia - Narmada Tent City
After having breakfast, you will proceed towards Kevadia and visit the iconic Statue of Unity, which is the tallest statue in the world. The statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel is nestled on the bank of the Narmada River with the backdrop of breathtaking Vindhyanchal and Satpura mountain ranges.
This 182 m high statue is surrounded by the sprawling Sardar Sarovar Dam. After this visit the Valley of Flower, also known as Bharat Van. This beautiful park is also located on the bank of the Narmada River. Spread across 24 acres of land, the Valley of Flowers is sprawling with innumerable colorful flowers with more than 300 species of flowers. There are several selfie points and photo booths.
Later, you will visit the Cactus Garden, which is a unique botanical garden and exhibits a huge variety of cacti. The garden houses 450 species of almost 6 lakh plants. Then head towards the Butterfly Plant, where you can see 70 species of butterflies along with the 150 species of nectar plants and larval host plants.
After learning about different butterfly species, head towards Jungle Safari Park, which is home to some amazing animals like lions, rhinos, tigers, giraffes, bison, leopards, 12 types of deer, and antelopes, zebras, and other exotic animals. This state-of-art zoological park is located at the picturesque hills near The Statue of Unity. Enjoy an adventurous and exciting trip of watching wildlife and enjoying the scenic beauty of the park.
In the evening, after the sightseeing tour, return to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Narmada Tent City - Mumbai
Wake up to a hearty meal and pack your bags. Complete the check out formalities and proceed towards Mumbai as this is the last day of the tour. On arrival in Mumbai, you will have an assisted transfer to the Mumbai Airport of the railway station for your onward journey.
