Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Arrive in Delhi

On your arrival in Delhi, you will receive assisted transfer to your hotel from the airport or the railway station. After completing the check-in formalities, freshen up and rest for a while. Then you can spend the rest of the day at the hotel or you can go for an excursion to the nearby attractions on your own.

Day 2: Delhi City Tour

Today, after breakfast, head out for Delhi sightseeing tour. Your first destination of the day is Laxmi Narayan Temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, This beautiful temple is located in the heart of the city. From here you will proceed to the Gandhi Memorial. Pay a tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and head to the India Gate. The 42 m high archway is a war memorial built to commemorate the martyrs of the First World War and is compared to the 'Arc-de-Triomphe' of France.

Then you will drive past the Parliament House and reach Connaught Place. This is the shopping hub of Delhi and is packed with cafes and restaurants. Have your lunch at one of the restaurants and again hit the street. Post lunch, your first destination is Jama Masjid. This is one of the largest mosques in India built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in 1656 for one million rupees at that time. Today's tour ends at the Red Fort with a Light and Sound show, explaining the Mughal history uniquely.

Come back to your hotel for dinner and night stay.

Day 3: Delhi to Mandawa (258 km)

After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an enjoyable drive from Delhi to Mandawa. On arrival, check-in at your hotel and take some rest. After having lunch, head out to explore the town of Mandawa. The city is famous for painted Havelis and frescoes of the 18th-century. Visit the Murmuria Haveli, the Harlalka Well and an Open-Air Art Gallery. Admire the exceptionally beautiful paintings.

Come back to your hotel for a night stay.

Day 4: Mandawa to Bikaner (192 km)

Today after breakfast, you will start your journey towards Bikaner. Once you arrive in the 'Desert City' of Rajasthan, check-in at your hotel and take some rest. The afternoon is reserved for the Bikaner sightseeing tour that will include a visit to the Junagadh Fort and the Jain temples. The Junagadh Fort, formerly known as Chintamani was built during the end of the 16th-century. It includes a huge complex of elegant buildings and halls. Explore the traditional textiles and royal portraits at the Prachina Museum within the fort.

There are around 27 temples in the city. Visit the Bhandasar Jain Temple, famous for the beautiful architectural features.

After sightseeing, get back to your hotel for a night stay.

Day 5: Bikaner to Jaisalmer (331 km)

Day 5 of your Jaisalmer desert journey is free at your leisure. After breakfast, you can enjoy the comforts of your room or can visit the local market to shop for souvenirs. In the afternoon, begin your journey towards Jaisalmer, the starting point of your Desert Camel Safari in Rajasthan.

On arrival, check-in at your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 6: Jaisalmer to Badabagh to Baisakhi to Ramkunda

On day 6, Today after breakfast, your Jaisalmer Desert Safari Tour will start. Sit on the camel's back and traverse the desert villages. Your first stop is Bada Bagh, a garden complex located about 6 km north of Jaisalmer. On arrival in Bada Bagh, you will get surprised seeing the greenery amidst the arid desert landscape. This greenery is the consistent effort of the past rulers of Jaisalmer. Each of them built a new water reservoir and chhatris in the honor of their previous counterparts. Visit the royal cenotaphs of Bhatti Rajput Kings and admire beautifully carved chhatris made of yellow sandstone.

Spend some time in the garden complex and proceed to Baisakhi, a small village to have lunch. After enjoying a traditional lunch, visit a Hindu temple. Then continue your safari to Ramkunda. This is a religious place with a beautiful landscape. Visit the famous Hindu temples and soak in the scenic beauty. Ramkunda is a very small village consisting of 9 houses only where a total of 48 people reside.

Enjoy your dinner with the villagers and spend the night in tents.

Day 7: Ramkunda - Roopsi - Ludharwa – Chatrayil - Peerwal

After breakfast, move your camel, also known as the 'Ship of the Desert' towards Ludharwa via Roopsi. This is a village inhabited by people of the mixed cast. The houses of the village are made of mud and stick and decorated with paintings and mirror works. On reaching Ludharwa, you will have your lunch. Ludharwa is the former capital of Bhati Rajput kings and is popular for housing beautiful Jain temples.

After lunch, continue your journey of Camel Safari Jaisalmer towards Chatrayil, a traditional Muslim village. Finally, you reach Peerwal in the evening. This is an oasis and you can see the agricultural field soothing your eyes. Here you will have dinner.

Day 8: Peerwal to Salkha to Beri of Kanoi to Sand dunes

On day 8 of your Camel Safari Tours in Rajasthan, you will experience the struggle and excitement of desert life. Have breakfast and begin your journey to Salkha. This is a traditional Rajput village where you will halt for lunch. Thereafter, continue to the sand dunes. You will cross the Beri of Kanoi which is popular for housing numerous water wells. Here you will come across the customary picture of Rajasthani women carrying several earthen water pots on their heads.

Finally, you will arrive at the Sam sand dunes, one of the most famous desert dune sites. When you reach here, the last rays of the sun will be fading out behind the peak of the sandhill. Tonight is reserved for fun and excitement. Take your place beside the campfire, relish traditional food and enjoy desert folk music till the dawn.

Day 9: Sand dunes to Kanoi to Masoordi to Jeseiri

On day 9, Sam Desert Camp Jaisalmer offers unique happiness and it is hard to leave the place. But, we have to proceed and your next destination is Masoordi. On the way, visit Kanoi, a typical carpenter's village where you can shop for some beautifully carved wooden items. Keep moving while cherishing the daily lifestyle of the people. Arrive at Masoordi. This is a small village where you will savor your lunch. Post lunch, proceed to Jeseiri, a water tank that is noted for beautiful scenery along with an oasis. Have your dinner and enjoy overnight camping close to the tank.

Day 10: Jeseiri - Dedha - Deegasar - Kuldhara

Have your breakfast and leave for Deegasar. You will pass through Dedha, a typical Rajput village. Notice the traditionally dressed Rajput men and women indulged in their daily work. After reaching Deegasar, you will have your lunch. It is a beautiful village that is surrounded by a small lake. Walk around the lake for some time and continue towards Kuldhara.

En-route you will come across a small Rajput Dhani. It is a group of houses where the locals stay at the time of cultivating their fields. Finally, you reach Kuldhara, an extremely popular tourist attraction. This is a well-planned village of ancient times and here you will place your camp in Jaisalmer.

Day 11: Kuldhara to Moolsagar to Amarsagar to Jaisalmer

Today after breakfast, get ready for a return journey to Jaisalmer. En-route stop at two beautiful villages, Moolsagar and Amarsagar. Moolsagar is a small place surrounded by garden and tanks but is quite popular for its paintings and architectural marvels. It also houses a beautiful Shiva Temple. Next, stop at Amarsagar, which is a lake cum oasis.

Once you reach Jaisalmer, check-in at your hotel. Spend your day in doing the activities of your interest. You can relax, explore the surroundings on foot or can visit the local bazaar.

After spending five nights in different desert camps in Jaisalmer, enjoy an overnight in a comfortable hotel.

Day 12: Jaisalmer City Tour

On day 12, after breakfast, the day is booked for Jaisalmer sightseeing tour. You will visit Patwon Ki Haveli, a 5-story mansion which is one of its kind in the city; Salim Singh Ki Haveli- a beautiful mansion that was built 300 years ago, Gadi Sagar tank, an oasis and the Heritage Museum.

After day's excursion, come back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur (284 km)

Your Jaisalmer Tour ends today and after you have your breakfast, begin your road journey towards Jodhpur. After arrival, complete the check-in at your hotel. The afternoon is free. You can relax or explore the city on foot. In the evening, you can shop at the local bazaar.

Day 14: Jodhpur City Tour

Day 14 is reserved for sightseeing tour of Jodhpur city. You will visit the Clock Tower that was built by Maharaja Sardar Singh, Mehrangarh Fort - one of the largest forts in India and the Jaswant Thada - an architectural landmark. The Mehrangarh Fort is an ideal spot for history buffs. Situated 410 feet above the city, the fort is enclosed by a thick wall. The fort includes several beautiful palaces and all have a separate identity. The fort is known to have a collection of musical instruments, palanquins, furniture, and cannons. A part of the popular movie the 'Dark Knight Rises' was filmed in this fort.

On the left side of the fort is situated the Jaswant Thada mausoleum, a spectacular marble structure above a small lake. Thereafter, you can visit attractions like Kaylana Lake, Phool Mahal and Umaid Bhawan Palace. All are famous for their unique style and beauty. Kaylana is an artificial lake built by Pratap Singh in 1872. This vast lake is inhabited by the Siberian cranes during the winter. Next, you can visit the Phool Mahal Palace. This palace turned heritage hotel is one of the major attractions of the city.

Day 15: Jodhpur to Jaipur by road (334 km)

On day 15, after breakfast, begin your road journey to Jaipur. Check-in at your hotel, after arriving. Have lunch and relax for some time. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Visit the market or relax in your room.

Day 16: Jaipur City Tour

This recently announced world heritage city is packed with tourist attractions. Have your breakfast and head out for Jaipur city tour. Today you will visit Amer Fort, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar and City Palace. This colorful city welcomes you with open arms to explore its beautiful attractions. So, begin with an excursion to Amber Fort where you can enjoy elephant rides. View surreal reflection of the fort in the Maota Lake and admire this architectural wonder before heading for Jaipur city tour.

The 'Pink City' Jaipur has many attractions to explore like City Palace, Hawa Mahal, and Jantar Mantar.
