Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Dimapur – Kohima (70 km. / 03 Hrs.)

Today your Nagaland tour starts from Dimapur to Kohima. On day 1st you will be picked up from Dimapur airport and will be driven towards Kohima, the capital city of northeastern state Nagaland.

After arriving at Kohima you will be assisted to your pre-booked hotel where you will complete your check-in formalities, unwind and spend the rest of the time at leisure.

Day 2: Kohima – Khonoma – Kohima

Start your day 2nd with a healthy breakfast and drive towards Khonoma. The village is known as Angami Naga village and is famous for its conversational ventures, forests, and unique form of agriculture, including some of the oldest terraced agriculture in the region. Witness the terrace cultivation and also interact with the local tribe to know more about the lifestyle and culture of these tribes.

After exploring the green village, get back to your respective hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel in Kohima.

Day 3: Kohima – Mokokchung (145 Km. /04 Hrs.)

On day 3rd, wake up early in the morning, enjoy your delicious breakfast and complete your check-out formalities from your respective hotel. Get ready to visit the land of Ao Naga tribe, Mokokchung. This town is a hill station and the best place for sightseeing which includes several historical attractions.

After reaching Mokokchung complete your check-in formalities at your respective hotel, unwind and then explore the hamlet and interact with the local tribes to know more about the lifestyle of the tribes. You will witness that these tribes are mostly dependent on agriculture although they are very rich in their folk literature.

Day 4: Mokokchung – Tuensang (80 Km. / 2.5 Hrs.)

On day 4, wake up early morning freshen up, enjoy your delightful breakfast and complete your check-out formalities from the hotel. Start your trip to Tuensang, the largest district of Nagaland which rests on the International border of Indo-Myanmar.

Tuensang is located in the foothills of Mount Saramati - the highest peak in Nagaland. After reaching Tuensang complete your check-in formalities, unwind and spend the rest of the time at leisure.

Day 5: Tuensang – Mon (170 Km. /05 Hrs.)

On day 5th, post breakfast, complete your check-out formalities and get ready to visit the last tribal village of the tour, Mon. The Mon district also known as The Land of The Anghs. It is the home to the Konyak Nagas tribe. The Konyak Nagas are skilled hunters and they have tattoos all over their faces and hands.

The tribe is also famous for its muzzle loading guns. You can witness the natural beauty and the wonderful flora and fauna of this region along with huts and shops where local ladies sell organic fruits. After reaching Mon complete your check-in formalities and unwind.

Day 6: Mon Sightseeing tour

On day 6, wake up early in the morning, freshen up and enjoy your breakfast and get ready to visit the chief's house in Shangnyu village. The chief's house is the major attraction of the village. The tribal people have their traditional chief called the Angh, you can witness many memorial stones outside the Chief's house. The house is adorned with wood carvings with an uplifting wooden entrance. The Indo-Myanmar border passes from this village dividing the chief's house into two halves, one of which is in India and the other half is in Myanmar. The Angh of this village has authority on both sides of the border. Later in the evening return to your hotel to relax.

Day 7: Mon – Jorhat (140 Km. /04 Hrs.)

On day 7, wake up early morning freshen up, enjoy your delicious breakfast, complete your check-out formalities from the hotel and start your trip to Jorhat. It is one of the major urban centers in the state of Assam and renowned for its tea plantations, there are more than hundreds of tea gardens in Jorhat the city is also famous for its culture, mosques, tombs, and gardens. After reaching Jorhat complete your check-in formalities at your respective hotel and relax later explore the local tea gardens. In the evening visit the local market to buy souvenirs for your loved ones.

Day 8: Jorhat – Kaziranga (110 Km. /2.5 Hrs.)

On day 8, wake up early morning freshen up, enjoy your tasty breakfast, complete your check-out formalities from the respective hotel, and leave for Kaziranga. Kaziranga National Park is a protected area in the northeast Indian state of Assam. After reaching Kaziranga complete the check-in formalities at your respective hotel. The rest of the time is free at leisure.

Day 9: In Kaziranga

Today you will enjoy the Elephant and Jeep Safari at Kaziranga national park. Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the pure and tranquil atmosphere and also for an elephant safari from 5.30 AM to 6.30 AM in the western range of the national park. While riding an elephant and exploring the park you can enjoy the soothing humming of the bird and the fragrance of wildflowers scattered all away. Kaziranga National Park is noted as a World Heritage UNESCO Site and is spread over an area of 430 square kilometers. Return to the hotel and enjoy your breakfast. Later, Visit again to the Kaziranga national park to explore more. Observe the amazing creature of the world, the One-horned Rhinoceros along with the beast some other attractions of the park include tiger, wild buffalo, elephant, a variety of deer, python, and species of seasonal birds you can also enjoy the wildlife safari by jeep after exploring the park return to the hotel again for some refreshments. Later visit the nearby village to explore the culture, orchid sanctuary, and tea garden, which includes Methoni, Hathkhuli, Difalu, Borchapori, and Behora. Evening free at leisure.

Day 10: Kaziranga – Guwahati (200 Km. / 04 Hrs.)

On day 10th, enjoy the delightful breakfast, complete the check-out formalities, and continue your road trip to Guwahati. On arrival, check in to the respective hotel and relax for a while, freshen up and find ways towards visiting one of the most popular and pious temples of India, the Kamakhya Temple - Kamakhya Shakti Peeth is a Hindu temple devoted to the mother goddess Kamakhya. It is said that the temple is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Peetha. The temple is situated on Nilachal Hill in the western part of Guwahati city in Assam. Seek the blessing of Maa Kamakhya and later enjoy the river cruise on the Brahmaputra River. Reserve some of the time for the evening to explore the local markets and the famous shopping sites such as Pan Bazaar, Paltan Bazaar, Fancy Bazaar, and Uzan Bazaar to buy several souvenirs for your loved ones.

Day 11: Leave Guwahati
