Itinerary Detail
Once you arrive in Delhi, the capital city of India, get an assisted transfer to your pre-booked hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. You can explore the popular markets, taste the lip-smacking street food, interact with the locals. Stay overnight.
After breakfast, begin sightseeing may including the tourist attractions of Old and New Delhi. You visit Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk bazaar, the Qutub Minar complex, Humayun's tomb, amongst the other attractions. Back to hotel for an overnight stay.
Post breakfast, begin driving to Jim Corbett National Park. On arrival, check- in at your jungle lodge. The country's oldest national park is known as the wildlife reserve where "Project Tiger" was launched in 1973. It also boasts of being home to a good population of the big cats. The national park has got its name from hunter turned conversationalist, Jim Corbett who also helped in its establishment. The rest of the day is free for personal activities like a nature walk. Stay overnight.
On days 4 and 5, embark on a morning and an evening safari into the national park. During your safari, spot animal species like leopards, tigers, barking deer, hog deer, Sambar, Chital, Golden Jackal, Sloth Indian Gray Mongoose, Himalayan Black Bear etc. and around 580 species of birds. Enjoy dinner around bonfire. Overnight stay in the jungle lodge.
Today, depart for Delhi by road. On arrival, check- in your hotel. After lunch, spend the day at leisure. You can do the activities of your interest such as visiting the remaining attractions or the markets. Stay overnight.
By road, leave for Jaipur on the 7th day of the tour. After you arrive, complete the check- in formalities at your hotel. Later, after lunch, leave for a city tour. The list of attractions includes the City Palace and Museum, Hawa Mahal (The Palace of Winds), Jantar Mantar Observatory, Ram Niwas Gardens and Albert Hall Museum. Stay overnight in your hotel in Jaipur.
After breakfast, proceed by road to Ranthambore National Park. Once you reach, complete the check-in formalities at your wildlife resort. The former hunting grounds of the Maharaja of Jaipur, it is one of the largest national parks in the northern part of India. The evening is scheduled for a safari ride in the park. Stay overnight.
All of day 9 is scheduled for safari ride into the park (morning and evening). During the safari, spot animal species like Chinkara, Indian false vampire bats, Common Palm Civets or Toddy cat, common yellow bat, Desert Cats, Fivestriped Palm Squirels, Cobras, Common Kraits, Common Frog, Kraits along with 272 avifauna species. Night stay at the resort.
Get transported to Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary by road. Now known as Keoladeo National Park or Keoladeo Ghana National Park, it is a paradise for bird watchers. Upon arriving, check- in your resort. In the evening, participate in bird watching. Spot as many as 230 avifauna species like Painted Stork, Great Egret, Common Parakeet, along with other animal species. Overnight in Bharatpur.
Today, after breakfast at the resort, leave for Agra by road. En-route, halt at Fatehpur Sikri, the old deserted capital city of the Mughals. It was erected by Emperor Akbar. Once you get inside this World Heritage Site, explore Jodha Bai's Palace, Panch Mahal, Diwan-i-Am, Buland Darwaza etc. After arriving in Agra, check- in your hotel. The rest of the day is free. Stay overnight.
Day 12, post breakfast, is scheduled for a city tour of Agra. The first visit of the day is to the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This white-marble mausoleum was erected by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The other monuments may include the Agra Fort and the tomb of Itmad-ud-Daulah. Stay overnight.
Get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to Khajuraho. On arrival, check- in your pre-booked hotel. The evening is scheduled to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kahjuraho Temples. This group of temples, erected during the rule of Chandela rulers, glorifies erotica. Also attend the Sound and Light Show. Stay overnight.
On the 14th day, after breakfast, leave for Bandhavgarh National Park, by road. Arrive and check in at a wildlife resort. This national park has one of the highest densities of tiger population. Along with this, it also has a large breeding population of various kinds of deer and leopards. Night stay in Bandhavgarh.
Days 15 and 16 are for morning and evening wildlife safaris in Bandhavgarh. During the safari, you get a chance to spot different animal and bird species such as Wild Boar, Jackal, Fox, Muntjac, Black faced langurs, Porcupines, Hyenas, Vipers, Cobras, Red Wattled Lapwing, White Breasted Kingfisher etc. Stay overnight.
Once you have breakfast, depart for the Katni railway station to board a train to the sacred city of Varanasi. The rest of the day is for leisure activities such as boat riding in the holy waters of river Ganga, visiting the popular bathing ghats, attending the mesmerizing evening Aarti, visiting the popular temples etc. Overnight stay in Varanasi.
Get on-time transfer to the airport to board a flight to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. On arrival, complete the check- in formalities at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities – interact with the locals, relish local delicacies, enjoy the nightlife, explore the surroundings on foot. Stay overnight.
All of day 19 is for exploring Kathmandu. Enjoy the view of the majestic Himalayas. Visit the well-known Pashupatinath Temples, along with other attractions that may include Hanuman Square, Buddhanath, Patanjali Durbar Square, Lumbini etc. Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Leave for the airport on time to fly to Chitwan National Park, well-known for its tigers and rhinos. This UNESCO World Heritage Site, is extremely rich in flora and fauna. One of the last refuges of the Bengal tiger, this national park is also home to a good population of one-horned Asiatic rhinos. Established in 1973, it is the first national park in Nepal. The day after arrival and check-in is free. Admire the surrounding lush greenery, enjoy canoe rides on the jungle river or enjoy a nature walk. Stay overnight.
Day 21 is for morning and evening wildlife safaris into the national park. During the safari, spot animal species like Spotted linsangs, palm civets, elephant, Wild dogs, jungle cat, leopard cat, Four-horned antelopes, chital, Rhesus monkeys, Hanuman langurs etc. The park boasts of being home to as many as 543 species of birds including slender-billed babblers, egrets, bitterns, storks, Oriental darter etc. Overnight in Chitwan.
On day 22, fly back to Kathmandu and then to Delhi. Spend the day at leisure. After dinner, get transferred to the airport to board the train for your onward destination.
