Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Leh

Arrive at Leh and meet our tour representative, who’ll assist you with a smooth transfer to the pre-booked hotel. Once you reach the hotel, complete the check-in formalities and relax. The remaining day is leisure time, as it is one of the most important things to do in Ladakh to familiarize yourself with the high-altitude place. Also, it is advisable to keep yourself hydrated. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh – Alchi – Leh (132 km/ 2.8 hours)

Start your day with breakfast at your hotel. Then, drive west of Leh to visit the Alchi Monastery. En route, halt near Magnetic Hill, one of the must-visit places in Ladakh. The hill is located on the Leh-Kragil highway and is famous for its anti-gravity phenomenon. Afterward, stop to click some pictures at the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar Rivers at Nimu, a popular spot for white water rafting in Ladakh. Then, continue to the Alchi Monastery. After your monastery visit, return back to Leh. On your way, visit Pather Sahib Gurudwara. Later in the evening, you’ll visit the Leh Stupa and Shanti Stupa. This stupa offers a stunning sunset view and local markets to shop at. Further, an overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 3: Leh – Nubra Valley via Khardungla (159 km/ 4.5 hours)

On day 3 of your Journey to Ladakh tour package, have breakfast, check out, and get ready to visit Nubra Valley via Khardungla Pass. This is considered the highest motorable pass in the world. On your arrival at Nubra Valley, check in at the pre-booked hotel or deluxe camp and freshen up. In the evening, take a camel safari in the valley and explore Hunder, the site of white sand dunes on the back of a double-humped camel. This is among the top tourist activities in Ladakh. After the enjoyment, back to your hotel/camp and have dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel/camp.

Day 4: Turtuk excursion (Former Baltistan)

Wake up, have breakfast and then proceed for an expedition to Turtuk, which was once a part of the Baltistan region of Pakistan. The locals speak the Balti language here as their ethnicity. While exploring the village, interact with locals to listen to some of the interesting stories about the 1971 war and how India captured this strategic village of the Gilgit Baltistan region from Pakistan. During the village tour, you can also get insights about the Balti culture and heritage. This idyllic village is renowned for its world-class quality of apricots and walnuts. You can buy fruits and dry fruits from the village directly from the farms. Spend some time on the bank of the glistening Shyok River and delve into the serene aura of this beautiful place.

After the sightseeing tour of Turtuk, return to Hunder. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. You take a stroll near the hotel and enjoy the enchanting beauty of the region. Further, have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel/camp.

Day 5: Nubra Valley – Pangong via Shyok River (274 km/ 6.9 hours)

Today, after breakfast, complete the check-out formalities from the hotel or camp and head towards Pangong Lake through Shyok River. On your way, visit the Diskit Monastery, one of the most famous and oldest monasteries in Ladakh. Further, along your adventurous drive, enjoy the views of towering mountains. On arrival at Pangong, complete the camp check-in and delight in nature’s sheer bliss. Later, visit Pangong Lake and witness the lake changing its color and the sun lowering its gaze. An overnight stay at the camp.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla pass (223 km/ 5.1 hours)

Begin your morning with the birds chirping, and come out of your camp to enjoy the stunning views of the sunrise over the lake. After that, have your breakfast, check out from the camp, and drive back to Leh via Changla Pass. En route, pay a visit to Hemis and Thikshey, two of the most famous monasteries in Ladakh. After exploration, return to Leh and check in at the hotel, followed by dinner. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Leh – Delhi (Departure)

This is the last day of your Ladakh tour. In the morning, have breakfast, pack your belongings, complete the check-out formalities, and get an assisted transfer to Kushok Bakula Airport to board your flight for your onward journey.
