Itinerary Detail
Upon arrival at the Kushok Bakula airport in Leh, meet our representative who’ll escort you to the hotel pre-decided for your stay. Upon arrival, you’ll be given a welcome drink followed by room check-in. The rest of the day is free to get acclimatized to the high altitudes of Ladakh. In the evening, proceed on a walking tour to Leh Bazaar. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Today, go out for a full day sightseeing tour of some of the most important monasteries and palaces in Leh. Start with Shey Palace (the former summer palace of Ladakh king), Thiksey monastery (enshrined with the beautiful statue of Maitreya Buddha) and Hemis Monastery. By evening , return back to the hotel for dinner and night stay.
Early morning, leave by road for Mulbekh, located 190 kilometers away on the Leh-Srinagar highway. On the way, visit the Magnetic Hill and Alchi Murals known to be 1000 years old. Later, visit the lunar landscapes nearby Lamayuru. By evening, arrive in Mublekh followed by check in at the Deluxe Camp. Later, go out to see the large rock-cut statue of Maitreya Buddha in Mublekh. Later, return back to the hotel for night stay.
Early morning, leave by road for Drass via Kargil. On reaching Drass, you will be taken to visit “Vijay Memorial” followed by a photo shoot of the famous Tiger Hill. After having lunch at Drass, return back to Kargil for overnight stay.
Post a leisurely breakfast in the morning, return back to Leh (which is around 180 kilometers away from Kargil). En route, visit the scenic hamlet of Likir and meet with the local people. Stay overnight at the Lukhil hotel.
Post a leisurely breakfast in the morning, drive back to Leh. Upon arrival in Leh, you can go out for a shopping tour around the small curio markets of Leh. The interesting places you can visit include Tibetan Super market, Ecological Centre Crafts shop, Moti market and the old town. Stay overnight in the hotel.
Early morning, embark on a full day tour of Pangong Lake, which is around 135 kilometers away from Leh. En route, you will pass through Durbuk and Tangtse villages in the Changthang region. Pangong Lake is the largest lake in Asia which changes its color 4 to 5 times in a day. Later, return back to the hotel for overnight stay.
Today, start driving on the Nubra Valley highway to visit the famous Khardongla Pass located at 18,380 feet. It is the world’s highest motorable pass. Later, drive back to Leh for night stay.
In the morning, you will be transferred to the Kushok Bukula airport to board flight for onward destination.
