Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrival in Delhi
Arrive at Delhi airport/railway station. Meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Check-in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Feel free to explore shopping places or eateries in the evening. Come back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2: Sightseeing in Delhi
Begin day 2 of your Golden Triangle with Varanasi Khajuraho tour with a hearty breakfast. Proceed for the Delhi city tour. Visit popular attractions in Old and New Delhi. Visit Raj Ghat (Mahatma Gandhi's complex) and Jama Masjid (one of India's largest mosques built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan).
Post lunch, head to Humayun's tomb (built during Mughal rule) and Qutub Minar (built during Sultanate rule). Drive past buildings that are the crux of the Indian political system cum major Delhi attractions including the Parliament House. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast, check out, and transfer from Delhi to Jaipur by road (5 hours journey). Also called the Pink City, Jaipur is known for its heritage forts and palaces.
On reaching, check in to your hotel. You can either choose to spend the rest of the day relaxing in your hotel or visit the nearby bazaars to buy souvenirs and traditional items. Overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 4: Sightseeing in Jaipur
After breakfast, get ready to explore Jaipur city. Visit the Amber fort (one of the largest forts in Jaipur). Enjoy a royal elephant ride, all the way to the fort.
Post lunch, head to Jaigarh fort that has huge battlements put on display. Other attractions include Laxmi Narayan temple, City Palace, Jantar Mantar, and Hawa Mahal. Spend the evening enjoying cultural performances at Choki Dhani village resort. Come back to the hotel and retire for the day.
Day 5: Jaipur - Agra
Start day 5 of the Golden Triangle tour with breakfast. Check out and proceed from Jaipur to Agra by road (4 hours journey). Halt at the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri. Top attractions here include the Buland Darwaza, Jama Masjid, among others.
Afterward, continue the journey to Agra. On arriving, transfer to the hotel. Spend your evenings exploring the rich handicrafts of Agra in the nearby local market. Return to the hotel for a comfortable night's stay.
Day 6: Sightseeing in Agra
Wake up early to catch the sight of the Taj Mahal as it glistens with the rays of the morning sun. Come back to the hotel for breakfast and proceed for the Agra city tour. First visit Agra Fort, a UNESCO world heritage site. The rest of the day is free for leisure activities. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Optional: A visit to Itmad-ud-Daula's tomb.
Day 7: Agra - Orchha - Khajuraho
The next leg of your 11 days Golden Triangle Tour with Varanasi and Khajuraho starts today. Post an early breakfast, check out, and leave from Agra to Jhansi by train (3 hours journey). On arrival, embark on a road trip to Orchha (30 mins journey).
Explore the popular attractions in Orchha like Jahangir Mahal of Orchha (Classic Mughal architecture), Raj Mahal, and Laxmi Narayan temple (mural paintings). Afterward, get back on the road to Khajuraho (3 hours away). On arrival, check in to your pre-booked hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: Khajuraho - Varanasi
Post breakfast, check out and proceed for the Khajuraho sightseeing tour. Explore the eastern and western groups of temples and admire the architectural beauty. Visit Laxmi & Varaha temples, Kandariya Mahadev temple, and Devi Jagdambi temple.
Post sightseeing, transfer from Khajuraho to Varanasi by flight. On arrival, transfer to the hotel. If you wish, you can go for a walk in the surroundings or relax in your room. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 9: Sightseeing in Varanasi
Start your day with a boat ride in the sacred Ganga River. After breakfast, leave for Sarnath (10 km away). It is where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon after attaining enlightenment. On arrival, explore the attractions like Dhamek Stupa, Sarnath Museum, and Chaukhandi Stupa.
Post the tour, return to Varanasi. Here, visit Alamgir mosque, Dashashwamedh Ghat, and Bharat Mata temple. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 10: Varanasi - Delhi
Right after your breakfast, you would be transferred to the Varanasi airport for your return journey to Delhi. As you will reach Delhi, check into a pre-booked hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Explore the nearby surroundings in the evening if you wish to.
Day 11: Departure from Delhi
Your Golden Triangle with Khajuraho Varanasi tour ends today. Post a leisurely breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the International airport for your onward journey back home with wonderful memories.
