Ans: Kibber is 185 km after Manali, a small village in Spiti Valley (Himachal Pradesh) near Kaza, It’s one highest located in inhabited village in the world.

Q: Is there is any Airport / Railway Station in Kibber?

Ans: There is no airport or railway station inKibber – nearest airportis in Kullu approx. 235 kms and nearest railway station is Chandigarh which is approx. 490 kms from Kibber. However International airport is situated in Delhi which is approx. 730 kms.

Q: How we can reach Kibber?

Ans: It is about 185 km from Manali and someone can hire taxi from Manali to reach Kibber.

Q: How many days require to visit Kibber?

Ans: You should require at least 08-10 days to visit Kibber as its not feasible to reach Kibber directly from any of the major city. You need 5 days in total to reach Spiti via Kinnaur side and come back from Manali side. So, having three more days will help you explore Pin Valley, Langza, Hikkim, Komic, Ki and Kibber Villages around Kaza.

Ans: Except few home stays there are no other accommodation available – However you can stay in Kaza which is approx. 40 minutes’ drive from Kibber, here you can find some decent hotel including HPTDC Hotel.

Ans: Kibber is famous for Its Wildlife Sanctuary, if someone lucky they can spot snow leopard which is quite rare.

Ans: Summers are best time to visit Kibber. In other seasons, the climate will be very cold – May to July is best time to visit this village.

Q: Do we need to carry woollens in Summer also to visit Kibber?

Ans: Yes, you need to carry woollens along with shoes and socks as you are going to very high attitude and its going to be very cold specially in the evening & nights.

Q: It is safe to travel Kibber with Senior Citizens and kids?

Ans: We don’t recommend to travel Kibber with Senior Citizen and Children’s, the altitude is +13000 feet and may be uncomfortable because of rarefied air i.e. lack of oxygen, which could pose some problem to the elderly & child.

Q: Is there are local restaurants available to eat in Kibber?

Ans: Kibber is a small Town hence there are no local restaurants available to eat you have to dine in your hotel / homestay itself.

Q: Is there are hospitals available in Kibber in case of emergency?
