On Manali Leh Highway, Keylong lies between Rohtang Pass and Baralacha Pass. The region has no airport and railway station of its own. The nearest major airport from Keylong is Bhuntar Airport, Kullu, located 120 km away. Tourists can hire a private taxi or board a shared taxi from Bhuntar, Kullu, and Manali for Keylong. The buses going towards Leh Ladakh also pass through Keylong.

The other major railway station is in Chandigarh, 376 km away from Keylong.
