Gujarat Tribal Tour with Wildlife, a tour package of 17 nights and 18 days will offer you a chance to have a sneak-peak into the tribal life and culture of Gujarat, a state of the western part of India. During the tour, you will visit the popular destinations like Ahmedabad, Poshina, Kutch, Rajkot, Gondal, Balasinor, Chhota Udaipur and more. The itinerary also includes wildlife safaris to the well-known wildlife reserves- the Little Rann of Kutch and Gir National Park.

Itinerary Detail

Day 1: Ahmedabad

After reaching Ahmedabad, get an assisted transfer to your pre-booked your hotel. Once the capital of Gujarat, Ahmedabad is both- a commercial and a leisure hub. After freshening-up, set-out of your room to cover the museums of Ahmedabad that may include Calico museum. Overnight stay.

Day 2: Ahmedabad - Poshina (4 hours)

On the second day of your tour, after having your breakfast, you will leave for Poshina, this is a beautiful place, enclosed by Garasia and Bhil villages. These tribes are very well-known for their colorful tribal dances. You will also explore a popular tribal shrine. Later, explore the village market in. Overnight in Darbargadh Poshina, a heritage property.

Day 3: Poshina - Danta (2 hours)

On the 3rd day, you are going to leave for Danta, a town on the border of Gujarat. After arrival, your first visit of the day will be Kumbhariyaji Jain Temples- built during the 12th century by Vimal Shah, these 5 five temples are dedicated to the Jain tirthankars, Taranga Jain Temple- a popular shrine built during the 12th century. The last visit of the day will be the historical monuments of Vadnagar, near Danta.  This is an ancient city which existed 4500 years old. Overnight in Bhavani Villa, a heritage hotel.

Day 4: Danta - Dasada (4 hours)

After having your breakfast, today you will leave for Dasada, a small village inhabited by artisans, farmers and cattle herders.  Today, you are going to the well-known Queen’s step well- built in 1050 A.D. and then the silk weavers in Patan- popular for Patola and Ikkat weaving. Later, you cover the Sun Temple of Modhera, erected in 1026 A.D. you will have a night stay at Rann Riders, a popular eco-friendly safari resort Dasada.

Day 5: Dasada

Dasada Taluka occupied by the pastoral communities such as the Bharwads and Vadiara Rabaris along with nomadic or semi-nomadic groups such as the Mirs and Bajanias.  The afternoon is fixed for a safari into the Little Rann of Kutch. Spot the amazing desert wildlife and bird species around the lake.  Also witness the life of the Koli tribes. Night stay at Rann Riders.

Day 6: Dasada - Kutch

On the 6th day of the tour, after breakfast, you will drive to Kutch (Anjar). This place is a hub for metal and textile handicrafts. After arriving, you are going to check-in at your pre-booked hotel. After freshening up, you will venture out to the Gandhidam, a port city which is very well-known for its first-rate textile market that sells products made by the locals of the nearby villages. Explore the place. Stay overnight.

Day 7: Kutch - Bhuj - Kutch

On day 7, after you have your breakfast, proceed to Bhuj. On the way, you will visit various villages that are popular for their handicrafts such as Ajrakh block printing, Rabari embroidery and Ahir embroidery. If you want, you can interact with the locals. You are going to spend the rest of the day exploring markets and the nearby monuments, which may include Aaina Mahal, Pragmahal palace etc. Overnight in Kutch.

Day 8: Full -Day Village Tour

The 8th day of the tour, after breakfast, is for exploring the close by villages. Today’s tour is for visiting the  Go on a tour of villages of the Jaths and Muthwas- Muslim pastoral groups as well as sub-groups, Sodha Rajputs,  the Rabaris and other Hindu pastoral groups, Meghwal Harijans as well as other communities, known for their fine embroideries. Night stay in Kutch.

Day 9 : Kutch - Rajkot - Gondal (5 hours)

Leave for Gondal, after breakfast. On the way, you will halt at the Watson Museum, containing artifacts depicting human culture as well as history and later at the weaving institute of Rajkot. On arrival to Gondal, check into your hotel. This palace is known for Naulakha Palace erected by built by Maharaja Rameshwar Singh. During the guided tour to this palace, treat your eyes to the exquisite silverware, beadwork, brass utensils, hand-painted wooden toys, other artifacts, silver jewelry, brass boxes (pataras) as well as Bhuvaneshwari Ayurvedic Pharmacy. Later, explore the nearby pastoral villages. Night stay in Gondal.

Day 10: Gondal - Jetpur - Junagadh - Gir National Park

Leave for Junagadh, once you finish your breakfast. It is a historical city that is well-known for its palaces, forts and cave sited. On the way, you will halt at Jetpur. This place is extremely well-known for several amazing textile styles including screen-printing and block-printing. Later, proceed to Gir national park. On arrival, check into your lodge.

Day 11: Gir National Park

Today, you will leave for a half- day safari into the national park, known as the last habitat of the Asiatic lion. During your safari, you will spot exotic animal species such as chousingha, spotted deer, chinkara gazelle, panther, wild boar along with beautiful avifauna species. The other visits of the day will be other nearby pastoral settlement of Maldhari and Sorathi Rabari along with Siddi village, known for its African inhabitants who came to Gujarat in medieval era. Overnight stay in Gir.

Day 12: Gir - Palitana

On day 12, after breakfast, you will leave for Palitana, an ancient princely state, situated in Bhavnagar. This place is also popular in the form of an important religious site of Jainism as it houses some beautiful Jain temples.  Also visit the Koli and Bharwad colonies along with the Jain museums. Take a stroll around the market place. Overnight in Vijay Vilas, a heritage hotel.

Day 13: Palitana - Balasinor

Relish your breakfast and leave for visiting the attractions of Palitana, which will include the Jain temple complex, situated on the top of Shatrunjaya Hill. After lunch, leave for Balasinor. Once you arrive, you will enjoy dinner with the family of the Nawab. Overnight stay.

Day 14: Balasinor - Chhota Udaipur (Chhota Udepur: 3 hours)

Enjoy your breakfast, and proceed to Chhota Udaipur, which houses Rathwa, Bhil, Bhilala and Nayaka villages. Interact with the locals here and observe their lifestyle. Later, in the day explore the tribal haat that is the local market and museum where you can shop for some amazing handicrafts, prepared by the locals. Overnight in Kali Niketan, a heritage property.

Day 15: Chhota Udaipur - Champaner - Chhota Udaipur

On the 15th day of the tour, you are going to visit Champaner, the only World Heritage List of Gujarat. Here, you will visit the popular attractions, which may include, Jama Masjid, Juni Masjid, Pavagadh Fort and so on. Overnight in Chhota Udaipur.

Day 16: Chhota Udepur - Ahmedabad

Today is the last day of your tour, when you will get an assisted transfer to the airport of Ahmedabad to board a flight for your onward destination. 

Day 17: Ahmedabad

After breakfast, head straight to Modhera. The unruffled peaceful landscape and the majestically welcoming temple complex are blissful and soothing to view. Visit the historic temple complex for its magnificent Ramakund. The Ramakund is built in rectangular shape and contains 108 shrines dedicated to various gods. Spend rest of the night in the hotel upon feasting mouth-watering delicacies in dinner. 

Day 18: Ahmedabad - Mumbai

In the morning after an early breakfast, transfer to the Ahmedabad airport to board a flight to Mumbai. Upon arrival in Mumbai, transfer to one of our listed hotels for wash and change. After wash and change, enjoy sumptuous dinner at the hotel. After the dinner, get deported to airport to board a flight for your onward journey.
