Rising high amidst the golden surroundings of Jaisalmer, the Tazia Tower is one of the city’s major attractions. A fine example of Rajasthani architecture is the building in the magnificent Badal Palace complex, which was once the royal family’s home.
The tower is divided into five stories and given the shape of a tazia, a replica of various Muslim mausoleums. Each level of the Tazia Tower narrates a different story and has a unique significance.

As a welcome break from the other Rajputana architecture in Jaisalmer, the Tazia Tower is extensively visited by tourists.
