The Church of St. Anne at Talaulim Ilhas, Goa is popularly known as Santana by the Goan people. This church is a magnificent structure. The renovation of the church was started by Mons Francisco do Rego and the local people helped him. He was unable to complete this renovation and in 1965 it was finished by Fr Antonio Francisco da Cunha. In the main altar there was the statue of St Anne or mother of Mary. The architecture of The Church of St. Anne at Talaulim Ilhas, Goa is a splendid combination of European and Indian design. This makes the church a rare piece of architecture in India. The church is located at the right bank of Siridao River. There are numbers of legends and myths are attached with The Church of St. Anne at Talaulim Ilhas, Goa. The Feast of St. Anne is celebrated in 26th July in Goa. It is specially celebrated in this church where the name of this celebration is Touceachem Fest’ or the Cucumber Feast.
