The Gadiya Mountain in Chhattisgarh gained prominence during the rule of Kandra dynasty, when Kandra ruler Dharma Dev won the Kanker district. Dharma Dev declared Gadhiya Mountain, which is a natural form of a fort as his capital. On top of the Gadiya Mountain is a water tank that remains filled with water all through the year.
