The Gadiya Mountain in Chhattisgarh gained prominence during the rule of Kandra dynasty, when Kandra ruler Dharma Dev won the Kanker district. Dharma Dev declared Gadhiya Mountain, which is a natural form of a fort as his capital. On top of the Gadiya Mountain is a water tank that remains filled with water all through the year. Besides, the hill top habitations of Aakash nagar and Kailash nagar are worth visit among the Mountains and Peaks in Chhattisgarh.
