The Sri Viswaroopa Panchamukha Anjaneya Swami Ashram, Chennai is a unique temple of Chennai. It highlights the exceptional craftsmanship of Indian architectures. A fairly modern temple, the Sri Viswaroopa Panchamukha Anjaneya Swami Ashram is built in 1994. The temple is richly engraved and intricately designed.

Built by the Sri Maruthi Baktha Samajam Trust, the Sri Viswaroopa Panchamukha Anjaneya Swami Ashram, Chennai is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The uniqueness of the temple lies in the fact that it is the first temple in the world which had a height of over 18 feet. The imposing structure of the temple is a significant feature of this temple in Chennai. The 32 feet tall temple is revered by the devotees all across the country.

Apart from the presiding deity other deities of the temple are Rama, Krishna, Pillaya, Seetha, Nagar and Sri Ragavendra Guru. The shrines in the temple are beautifully designed with intricate sculptures.

The descriptions provided for the faces are the face looking towards the East, removes sin and brings in purity, the face looking towards the South, removes fear from enemy and brings forth victory, the face looking towards the West removes black magic and evil, the face looking towards, the face looking northwards removes evil influence on the planet and the face looking upwards brings forth knowledge.
