Omkareshwar revered abode of one of the 12 Jyotilings of Lord Shiva and is one of the major pilgrimage destinations among the devotees. A large number of visitors flock into the area, especially around festival times. Situated on the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh, the weather conditions are extreme, with hot summers and cold winters. So, the best time to visit the temple is in between the months of October to March. The visit will be worthwhile, if you get to explore and pay homage to the shrine in peace.

Omkareshwar in Summer- From April till June
The summer days are hot and tough, with the temperature ranging from 29 to 45 degrees Celsius. It is hard for the visitors to explore the temples at this time of the year, so it is not a recommended time to go there.
Omkareshwar in Monsoon – From July till September
June marks the beginning of the monsoon season, with moderate showers of rain. The temperature cools down, and brings relief from the heat of the exhausting summer. The rain makes the place look fresh and green.
Omkareshwar in winter – From October till March
The climate of Omkareshwar in winter becomes cool and pleasant, with temperature ranging from 6 to 29 degrees Celsius. Night time is cold and sometimes temperature strikes down to 6 degree Celsius, but the daytimes are comfortable and warm. This is the perfect time to visit the temple and also get to attend festivals like the Maha ShivaRatri, in February.
