Shankar’s International Dolls Museum, New Delhi is located in the Children’s Book Trust Building at Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg. This 5,184.5 square feet area comprises two sections. This museum was envisaged by the famous cartoonist, K Shankar Pillai.
Shankar’s International Dolls Museum is one of the most popular tourist attractions in New Delhi. It has the most exclusive costume dolls that have been collected from USA, UK, Australia, New Zealand and from Asian countries.
The two sections at the Shankar’s International Dolls Museum, New Delhi consist of more than 160 glass cases. Various costume dolls are exhibited inside these glass cases. This museum was set up in 1957. Earlier there were 3000 dolls on display. Since its establishment around 6500 dolls were collected from over 85 countries. Now the museum boasts a wide range of costume dolls.
Shankar’s International Dolls Museum, New Delhi includes various sections which have been arranged according to various themes. Some of the interesting themes are:

Besides the above mentioned sections, there is a section Doll Workshop. This section is a favorite among the tourists. You can witness the entire process of doll making in this section.
