Around 35 km from Siddapur in Karnataka, Unchalli falls is counted amongst the best tourist attractions that one can possibly ask for. First discovered in 1845 by a British district collector, J.D Lushington, the falls are also known as Lushington falls.
To enjoy the best of the lush green surroundings, it is advised that one must make his way to the beautiful waterfalls via trekking. Trek to the Unchalli falls starts from the Heggarani region, around 5 km away. The short yet wonderful trek passes through thick forests, and tourists may take the help of a guide to make it through.
The source of the waterfall, the Aghanashini river, makes a steep drop here, near about 116 meters, which makes the sight of Unchalli truly captivating. The gushing waterfall can be heard after crossing halfway on the trek from Heggarani. Unchalli falls, with its mesmerizing beauty and refreshing ambiance, has become one of the most apt picnic spots in the region.
