Itinerary Detail
Upon arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport, a local representative will welcome you and escort you to your hotel. Upon reaching, complete the check-in and unwind. In the afternoon, venture on a half-day city tour starting with Swoyambhunath Temple, also known as the Monkey Temple. It is believed that Swoyambhunath was formed when Kathmandu Valley emerged from a prehistoric lake.
Next, visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square, once the royal seat of the Malla Kings. It is a fascinating complex of palaces, courtyards, and temples built between the 12th and 18th centuries. The site hosts the Kumari Temple, home to the Living Goddess, and Kasthamandap, an ancient wooden structure from which Kathmandu derives its name.

Arise early and get on a scenic drive to Sarangkot, a hilltop vantage point offering breathtaking views of Pokhara and the sunrise over the Annapurna range. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Pokhara, visiting major attractions such as Devi’s Fall, Bindhyabasini Temple, Seti Gorge, and Barahi Temple. After breakfast, check out and head to Kathmandu Airport for your flight to Paro. Upon arrival at Paro Airport, a local representative will assist you with your transfer to Thimphu. On reaching the pre-listed hotel, complete the check-in formalities and relax.
Later, take a leisurely walk through Thimphu’s Craft Bazaar, where authentic Bhutanese arts and crafts are on display. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere before retiring for the night at the hotel.
This morning, after breakfast, the day is reserved for the Thimphu Sightseeing Tour. Begin with exploring the Royal Textile Museum, which showcases Bhutan’s rich tradition of weaving, followed by the National Library, home to ancient Buddhist manuscripts.
Next, explore the Institute for Zorig Chusum, where students train in Bhutan’s traditional arts. Later, in the afternoon, visit Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in honour of Bhutan’s third king, and Kuensel Phodrang, home to a massive Buddha statue. Lastly, visit Trashichhoedzong, the fortress housing Bhutan’s government offices and religious institutions.
Further, return to the hotel for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Today, after having your morning meal, hit the roads to reach Punakha via the Dochula Pass, offering spectacular Himalayan views on a clear day.
Upon arrival, complete the check-in at the pre-decided hotel. Thereafter, visit the Punakha Dzong, a fortress strategically built at the confluence of two rivers. Start the day with breakfast before embarking on a hike to the famous Taktshang Monastery, also known as the Tiger’s Nest. Perched above the valley, this sacred site is believed to have been visited by Guru Rinpoche, who meditated here.
On the way back, stop at Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress that once defended Bhutan from Tibetan invasions. Also, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th-century temple that marks the introduction of Buddhism to Bhutan.
