Itinerary Details

Day 01: Arrival in Almaty

Arrive at the Almaty International Airport (ALA) and meet our airport representative. Then, you’ll get a private transfer to the pre-booked hotel in Almaty. Once you reach the hotel, complete the check-in formalities and unwind. Further, have lunch on your own. Later, the evening is free to explore the local surroundings independently. Get a private transfer to a local restaurant for dinner and then retreat to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 02: Medeu & Shymbulak Tour

Day 2 of the Kazakhstan itinerary, after breakfast, is scheduled for the Medeu and Shymbulak tour.

10:00 am – Visit the Medeo Ice Rink and take a cable car ride to Shymbulak Ski Resort. The scenic ride is 4.5 kilometres long and offers breathtaking mountain views.

01:00 pm – Lunch at a local restaurant serving traditional Kazakh cuisine.

03:00 pm – Visit the Green Bazaar, a bustling oriental market offering fresh produce, spices and local crafts.

07:00 pm – Dinner at a traditional Kazakh restaurant with a transfer.

08:00 pm – Return to the hotel.

Day 03: Almaty City Tour & Koktobe Hill

Start your day with a morning meal and prepare for an Almaty City Tour and an excursion to Koktobe Hill.

11:00 am – City tour visiting the major landmarks like the Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay Palace of the Republic, Monument of Independence of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Circus, Drama Theater and Park of 28 Panfilov Guardsmen with Zenkov Cathedral.

01:30 pm – Lunch at a local restaurant.

04:00 pm – Take a cable car ride to Koktobe Hill, which offers panoramic views of the city and mountains. Then, explore the park’s attractions, which include cafes and a small zoo.

07:00 pm – Dinner at a restaurant with city views; transfer provided.

Day 04: Rakhat Chocolate Factory & Shopping Tour

On day 4 of Kazakhstan, 6-night, 7-day travel package, have your morning meal and then get ready for the Rakhat Chocolate Factory and Shopping Tour.

12:00 pm – Visit the famous Rakhat Chocolate Factory, known for its delicious confectioneries and diabetic-friendly treats.

Day 05: Charyn Canyon & Kolsay Lake excursion

This morning, after breakfast, is reserved for an excursion to Charyn Canyon and Kolsay Lake.

10:00 am – Transfer to Charyn Canyon, often compared to the Grand Canyon. The canyon runs along the Charyn River for 50 kilometres and has walls up to 300 meters high, showcasing stunning red, brown, and yellow rock formations.

01:00 pm – Lunch at a scenic spot near the canyon.

02:00 pm – Continue the journey to Kolsay Lake, known as the ‘Pearls of the Tien Shan.’ Enjoy a serene excursion around the lake, surrounded by lush landscapes and the Kazakh countryside.

06:00 pm – Dinner at a local restaurant near Kolsay Lake.

08:00 pm – Transfer back to the hotel.

Day 06: Charyn Canyon & Kolsay Lake excursion

Today, your day in Almaty is leisurely. After breakfast, you can spend the day at your discretion. You can even explore the city independently or laze at your hotel. In the afternoon, get a transfer to have lunch at a local restaurant. Further, you can even get engaged with last-minute shopping. Then, have dinner and retreat to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 07: Charyn Canyon & Kolsay Lake excursion

Your Kazakhstan 6 nights 7 days itinerary concludes today. Start your day with breakfast, pack your belongings and complete the check-out formalities. Then, you’ll get a private transfer to the Almaty International Airport (ALA) to board your flight for your onward destination.

The Tour Operator reserves the right to modify itineraries and/or substitute hotels of a reasonably similar quality when available should circumstances beyond our control deem it necessary.
Domestic flights and trains are booked according to availability. If a flight or train is cancelled or no tickets are available at the time of booking, the itinerary will be modified according to the timetable.

Tipping in Kazakhstan:

Restaurants:10% for good service.
Guides/Drivers:$5-$10/day for guides, $3-$5/day for drivers.

Taxis:Not expected, but appreciated by rounding up.

Please Note:

As per Govt rules, 5% TCS (Tax collected at source) will be applicable on spends towards International Holiday packages for cumulative spends (within or outside Indian Holiday Pvt Ltd) up to Rs 7 Lakhs in a financial year and @20% for incremental spends beyond Rs 7 Lakhs in the same financial year.

TCS is neither a cost nor an additional tax. It can be fully adjusted against income tax liability, and any excess can be refunded.
TCS credit would automatically reflect in your Form 26AS on a quarterly basis of the person of which PAN is provided.
TCS can be fully adjusted against the income tax payable on any other income, such as interest, rent, capital gains, etc.
If no income tax is payable, you can claim the TCS refund when filing your IT return.
TCS, once collected, cannot be refunded in case of any cancellation/modification. You can claim the TCS amount as an adjustment against Income Tax payable when filing the income return.
