In short, the Royal club room at Golf View is the best option for those who want to take a weekend off from their busy lives and pamper themselves to their hearts’ fill.

  • Forsyth Suites

There are four premium suites named after Captain James Forsyth, who discovered Pachmarhi while leading his troops to Jhansi in 1857. Similar to the Royal club rooms, the Forsyth suites are also equipped with period furniture of antique wood and elegant design. Open on three sides with balconies that look out on the distant Pandava caves, the room is a haven for nature lovers and photography connoisseurs. The interior is no less enjoyable than the balcony, with walls decorated by paintings and photographs that depict the saga of Captain Forsyth and his comrades-in-arms. The wooden four poster beds with soft freshly washed bed linen will surely ensure a very comfortable and peaceful sleep. The bathrooms are equally splendid, with hot/ cold running water and imperial Jacuzzis.  Apart from amenities such as the mini bar/ refrigerator, tea maker and satellite equipped LCD TV, the Forsyth suite also features a work desk with a plush arm chair to sit and enjoy a quiet night with some coffee and your favourite book. Captain Forsyth would’ve chosen to stay here, if he were to visit Pachmarhi today, and doubtlessly, so should you.

  • Victorian Suites

Ever wanted to live in one of those artistic Victorian era castles in Britain? Look no further. The four Victorian suites at Golf view are designed to give you a colonial experience, at very reasonable rates. The rooms are decorated to replicate Victorian era bedrooms, and are extremely spacious and classy. The only things in the room to remind you that you’re still in the twenty first century are the Television, Mini bar and other state of the art amenities to make your stay even more comfortable. The Victorian suites are the largest in the hotel, with no balconies or courtyards. However, the artistic French windows on two sides more than make up for the lack of a balcony. These suites also feature a wardrobe, dressing table and mirror fit for a Queen. The large living/ sitting area is an ideal space for the ones travelling with their families to spend quality time together. The bathrooms are also extremely spacious, with world class fittings and plush bath robes and towels. The suites also offer vintage toiletries, in keeping with the theme and suiting your Victorian tastes.

Dining

Multi-Cuisine Restaurant

One of the main factors that set Hotel Golf View a class above other alternatives, apart from its lush green garden and colonial ambience, is its multi cuisine restaurant. Indian, continental and Chinese cuisines are served at the restaurant, which follows the Victorian theme of the hotel in its décor. Complimentary breakfast and evening tea are offered. Vegetarian travelers need look no further, as no other restaurant in Pachmarhi serves such pure and not to mention, delicious vegetarian food. The highlight of the restaurant is the vegetarian specialties of Madhyapradesh on the menu, such as Bhutte ki Kees- made of milk and corn, Chakki ki shaak – this steam dish is made of wheat, mawa-bati, khoprapak, shrikhand and malpua, served with the characteristic hospitality and good heartedness of Madhyapradesh.

Open Air Garden Restaurant

The cherry on top of the cake is undoubtedly the open air garden restaurant, just beside the hotel’s well manicured garden. This is an experience not to be missed, as you can have your meal close to nature, with little fires beside the tables to liven the atmosphere as well as keep you warm in the pleasantly chilly Pachmarhi weather. The open air restaurant serves the same food, with the exception of complimentary homemade marshmallows and chocolates, as special treats to enjoy beside the fire. A truly yummy treat indeed!
