Overview

The Grand oak Manor is a picturesque colonial-era monument set delicately amidst a stretch of forty acres of thick oak, cedar and rhododendron. This striking piece of architecture was once home to the British India’s Lieutenant General Sir Henry Ramsay. Rai Bahadur Harikishan lal shah Gangola in 1931 purchased the property, it has remained in the family ever since.  Situated in the depths of the Binsar wildlife sanctuary, this abode of rich Heritage has hosted a number of prominent personalities, the renowned classical Dancer Uday Shankar amongst many others. The Hotel not only provides for a picturesque view it also provides insightful walks through these wild lives. The locale can be explored individually or by grouping up in to guide tour walks. The call of nature to be explored.  The Cedar is a massage and therapy centre which provides everything ranging from the relaxing Swedish massages to strong Thai massage. The guests are welcome to discover the delight of radiant nature on the foothills of the Himalaya.

    The Grand Oak Manor houses a centrally located heater for its nine suites with attached basic facilities. The rooms overlook the vast expanse of the adjoining remarkably alluring wildlife. The rooms have electricity for a few hours in the evening, however the rest of the day the house is bewitchingly brightened by natural light.
