Overview

The Siddhalepa Group of Ayurveda Resorts is founded on the ancient practice of Ayurveda in Sri Lanka, a family heritage which has been in existence for 200 years and stretched across three generations.

The Siddhalepa Group, established in 1979 by Deshabandu, Dr. Victor Hettigoda, an Ayurveda specialist, is a leading name in the industry and the largest of its kind, with a manufacturing scale of over 400 medicinal oils, balms, elixirs, herbal cosmetics and teas, in combination with other medicines for cosmetic and export markets. Besides these, the group also runs an Ayurveda hospital, a health resort in Wadduwa, a city hotel in Mount Lavinia and several spas in Sri Lanka, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

At the Siddhalepa Ayurveda Resort, special emphasis is placed on the production process which combines the traditional knowledge of Sri Lankan Ayurvedic medicine with scientific technology. All the products used in the treatments are natural. Modern technology is employed wherever necessary to provide the guests the fullest benefits of the various treatments.

Dining

The beachfront restaurant at the resort is where the guests can enjoy the healthy and delicious Ayurvedic meals which employ exotic herbs, greens and a liberal sprinkling of spice that delivers a true tropical experience. The meals served at the resort consist of garden fresh herbs, salads, vegetables and fruits, with fish and white meat being used as supplements.

Treatments

The resort adheres to the highest standards and practices when it comes to Ayurvedic practices in Sri Lanka, thanks to the team of highly qualified practitioners providing expert advice at the resort. The treatments on offer are meticulously designed and administered under the supervision of the in-house doctors, after taking into consideration the lifestyle and health condition of each individual. While the most sought after treatment here is the Panchakarma Treatment, a whole host of other techniques and procedures related to weight control, yoga sessions, as well as detoxification programs, can be enjoyed.

The various treatments available at the resort include head massage, facial massage, neck & shoulder massage, arm massage, hand massage, leg massage, foot massage, herbal steam bath, Navarakizhi, nasal inhalation, nasal therapy, Pichu, Urovasti, Kativasti, besides others.  

Drawing upon the knowledge and practice of three generations of Ayurveda physicians, a wide range of oils, pastes and herbal medicine in Sri Lanka are manufactured in the Siddhalepa Group’s factories and delivered directly to the resort. The main ingredients include herbs, root / bark of trees, spices and other natural products. All the herbal medicines found here are plant based and free from any chemicals or side effects.
