Ratan Vilas is truly a heritage hotel. It was built in 1920 by Maharaja Ratan Singh of Raoti and converted to a hotel by his grandson Maharaja Bharat Singh and great grandson R.K Brijraj Singh. The surprising thing is that the royal family still resides in the hotel. The hotel was renovated to suit modern necessities but retains an old world charm. It is very slightly touched by modern architecture but reminds one of a bygone era of the royal house and its grandeur. The interior of the hotel is made up of old family photographs and portraits of the royal kings.
The hotel has a swimming pool and a masseur can be arranged on request. Enjoy the local beauty of Jodhpur by going for a jeep safari and exploring the nearby villages rich in ethnic beauty. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas as well on the hotel’s computer. Complimentary arrival transfer from airport, train station and bus station is provided to its guests. Baggage storage, laundry services, currency exchange and a doctor are available on premises.
The hotel is easily accessible being only 1.5 km from the train station and 3 km from the airport. Sometimes Rani Vimla Kumari honors the guests by hosting cooking demonstrations for the guests. The hotel has Superior and Standard rooms.
The guests can enjoy courtyard, garden and in-house dining at the hotel. Ratan Vilas is the recipient of Certificate of Excellence for the year 2012 and won the Travelers choice award in 2011.
