Located on the Southwestern tip of India in Kovalam, Poovar Island Resort was established by Floatels India Pvt. Ltd. With a view of the Arabian ocean, the backwaters, and golden beach sand. The resort is built on 25-acre land. It is a unique resort in India for floating cottages.

The hotel is 31 km from Trivandrum International Airport and is accessible by a 10-minute boat ride.
