Overview

Hotel Clarkes Shimla is a Heritage Hotel that was started in the year 1898. It was known as Hotel Carlton then. Later in 1934, the hotel was renamed as Hotel Clarkes. The hotel is situated on the mall road and this makes it convenient to various shopping mall and city’s attractions. In the year 2012, Ministry of Tourism has upgraded it from the category Heritage to “Heritage Grand”.  For the guests, it offers four kinds of accommodation namely Superior Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Premier Rooms and Suites. To cater to the culinary needs of the guests, the hotel has a multi-cuisine restaurant, an open terrace restaurant and a bar to relax. The hotel has a banquet/conference hall which could be used for formal meetings, get togethers, etc. The hotel also provides recreation facilities like table tennis, badminton, basketball, etc. The hotel also has a cocktail lounge where it can host cocktail parties up to 40 people. The hotel also arranges for adventure trips and sightseeing trips in and around Shimla. The hotel is ideal for both business as well as leisure travelers.
