The Kalachakra Temple is located next to the famous Tsuglagkhang Temple. This temple is open to the public as the center for pilgrimage. The murals and architecture of the temple represent Tibet’s rich spiritual and artistic ethnicity. Dalai Lamas used the temple as the center for public teaching.
The Kalachakra Temple in Dharamshala is dedicated to the Kalachakra. The temple features fresco decorations of 722 deities of the mandala, Shakayamuni Buddha, and the central Kalachakra image. In addition, the walls and columns of the temple feature different traditional Tibetan Thangka paintings. There is also a book shop and a small cafe within the temple complex. It is one of the most famous sacred sites in Dharamshala.
