Majorda Beach is where you can find best Goan bakers. This is where they were first taught the art of baking European breads. Legend says Lord Rama, in his childhood, was kidnapped and brought here. He later escaped and camped at Cabo-de-Rama towards south. Also, Majorda Beach is the venue for Goa’s Christmas Carnival. Mae De Deus Church is one of the highlights of this beach. This church was founded in 1588 A.D and was rebuilt in 1739 after destruction. Travelers can take home a wide variety in silks, Kashmiri handicrafts, wood carvings, jewelry etc. from the shops nearby.
